Two Setups, One Number: How eDPI Works
eDPI exists because DPI and in-game sensitivity are interchangeable — a high DPI with low sensitivity can produce the exact same aim speed as a low DPI with high sensitivity. eDPI collapses both into one comparable figure.

Verified Pro eDPI Ranges by Game
eDPI ranges differ significantly by game because each title uses a different yaw multiplier — the degrees of camera rotation per mouse count at sensitivity 1.0.

Yaw values cross-referenced against multiple current sensitivity-conversion sources; pro eDPI ranges are broad community-observed bands, not official developer figures, and individual pro settings do change over time.
Why the ranges differ so much:
Overwatch 2’s yaw (0.0066) is roughly a third of CS2’s (0.022), so matching the same physical turn speed as a CS2 player requires an eDPI number about 3.33× higher in Overwatch 2 — which is exactly why the highlighted row looks so much larger.
Why eDPI Matters for Aim Consistency
Higher DPI with proportionally lower sensitivity is often preferred
The same eDPI can be reached multiple ways. Many competitive players favor 800 or 1600 DPI with a correspondingly lower in-game sensitivity, since these are native sensor steps on most gaming mice and avoid interpolation rounding at very low raw sensitivity values.
Comparing setups within the same game
If two players in the same game share an eDPI, their mouse moves the same physical distance for the same in-game rotation — regardless of whether one uses 400 DPI/0.8 sens and the other uses 800 DPI/0.4 sens.
eDPI is not portable between games
Because yaw multipliers differ, the same eDPI feels completely different across games. Use a dedicated sensitivity converter when switching titles rather than assuming the same eDPI will feel right.
cm/360 is the better metric for cross-game comparisons
If you’re switching games, matching your cm/360 is more reliable than trying to match eDPI directly, since cm/360 accounts for each game’s yaw multiplier automatically.
