Why Warzone and Apex Sensitivity Scales Are Different
Both games are battle royale titles with fast movement, but their underlying sensitivity engines were built by different studios on different engines — Warzone on IW Engine (Infinity Ward), Apex on a modified Source engine (Respawn). Each made its own decisions about the sensitivity scale, resulting in a roughly 3.3× difference between them.
A Warzone player at sensitivity 6 who types “6” into Apex will be aiming at 3.33× their normal speed — every flick overshoots, every tracking movement runs away from the target. Converting first means you load into Apex with exactly the feel you’ve spent hundreds of hours building in Warzone.

Tips for Switching From Warzone to Apex Legends
1. Use hipfire sensitivity — Apex ADS is separate
Apex separates hipfire and ADS sensitivity into two distinct settings. This converter calculates your hipfire value only. After applying your converted hipfire sensitivity, set your Apex ADS sensitivity separately — most players start at a 1:1 ratio and adjust from there.
2. Apex’s movement is faster and more vertical
Compared to Warzone’s ground-based movement, Apex adds wall climbing, slide jumping, grappling hooks (Pathfinder), and other high-mobility legend abilities. Your sensitivity accuracy transfers, but tracking airborne or rapidly repositioning targets takes additional adjustment time.
3. Both games have adjustable FOV — match them first
Warzone supports up to 120° FOV while Apex maxes out at 110°. A higher FOV makes objects appear farther away and reduces the apparent speed of your crosshair — if you played Warzone at high FOV, lowering to 110° in Apex will make your converted sensitivity feel slightly faster than expected.
4. Check Windows mouse acceleration is disabled
Disable “Enhance pointer precision” in Windows mouse settings. Both games support raw input, but disabling system-level acceleration ensures your conversion stays accurate in all scenarios.
5. Verify your Warzone sensitivity scale
Modern Warzone uses a 0.01–20 scale. If you’re running an older COD title or have a legacy config, your sensitivity scale may differ. Confirm you are reading Settings → Mouse & Keyboard → Horizontal Look Sensitivity before converting.
