Fortnite to Valorant Sensitivity Converter — How It Works
Fortnite and Valorant use very different sensitivity scales. Fortnite’s sensitivity slider produces small decimal values like 0.04–0.18, while Valorant uses a different scale entirely (typically 0.2–0.6). Typing your Fortnite number directly into Valorant produces a wildly inaccurate result.
Fortnite yaw = 0.5555 · Valorant yaw = 0.07
Fortnite’s scale is approximately 7.94× higher than Valorant’s. A Fortnite sensitivity of 0.04 converts to approximately 0.3171 in Valorant.
This converter uses the verified yaw multiplier for both games to give you a mathematically equivalent sensitivity — your mouse’s physical 360° turn distance stays identical, so your aim transfers cleanly into Valorant.
Valorant Sens = Fortnite Sens × (0.5555 ÷ 0.07)
Valorant Sens = Fortnite Sens × 7.9357
// Example: 0.04 × 7.9357 = 0.3174
// With DPI change: multiply by (Fortnite DPI / Valorant DPI)
How To Find Your Fortnite Sensitivity And Apply The Result
Find your Fortnite Sensitivity
Open Fortnite → Settings → Mouse → Look Sensitivity (X-Axis). Use this value in the converter.
Apply in Valorant
Go to Valorant Settings → Controls → Sensitivity (Mouse) and enter the converted value.

Why Fortnite and Valorant Sensitivity Scales Are Incompatible
Fortnite uses Unreal Engine’s sensitivity system, scaled to small decimal numbers, while Valorant uses Riot’s own internal sensitivity formula. The two were never designed to share values directly — the difference in yaw multipliers is nearly 8x.
If a Fortnite player at sensitivity 0.05 types “0.05” directly into Valorant, their turn rate becomes nearly 8 times slower than they’re used to — their crosshair would barely move with normal mouse swipes. This is the most common reason players give up too early when trying Valorant for the first time.

Tips for Switching From Fortnite to Valorant
1. Forget your edit sensitivity — it doesn’t apply
Fortnite has a separate “Edit Sensitivity” setting used for fast building and editing structures. This converter only uses your main look/turn sensitivity. Valorant has no building mechanic, so edit sensitivity is irrelevant here.
2. Valorant rewards stillness — Fortnite rewards constant movement
Competitive Fortnite involves near-constant repositioning, building, and editing while tracking enemies. Valorant accuracy depends on standing still or counter-strafing before shooting. Your aim precision transfers directly, but your positioning habits will need retraining.
3. Double-check your DPI before converting
Many Fortnite players use very high DPI (1600+) combined with low in-game sensitivity. If you plan to lower your DPI for Valorant (many Valorant pros use 400–800 DPI), make sure to enter both DPI values in the converter for an accurate result.
4. No building means less reliance on extreme high sensitivity
High sensitivity in Fortnite helps with rapid 180° turns during build fights. Valorant doesn’t require this kind of speed — after converting, you may find your competitive Valorant sensitivity feels comfortably lower in practice, even though it’s mathematically equivalent.
5. Disable mouse acceleration in Windows before testing
Go to Windows Settings → Mouse → Additional mouse options → Pointer Options → uncheck Enhance pointer precision. Also confirm Valorant’s Raw Input Buffer is enabled in Settings → Controls.
