Valorant to CS2 Sensitivity Converter — How It Works
Valorant and CS2 both use fixed hipfire yaw multipliers to translate physical mouse movement into in-game camera rotation. Because these multipliers are different, a sensitivity value of 0.3 in Valorant is not the same physical speed as 0.3 in CS2 — not even close.

CS2’s scale is approximately 3.18× lower than Valorant’s. A Valorant sensitivity of 0.3 converts to approximately 0.954 in CS2.

Why Valorant and CS2 Sensitivity Scales Are Incompatible
Many players switch between Valorant and CS2 because both are precise, team-based tactical shooters. But their sensitivity implementations are fundamentally different in a way that trips up almost every player who tries to transfer settings manually.
Without conversion, a player who uses 0.3 sensitivity in Valorant and sets 0.3 in CS2 will be playing CS2 at 3.18× slower than their usual aiming speed. Every flick, every micro-adjustment, every tracking shot will feel sluggish and inaccurate.
Converted correctly, the physical distance your mouse needs to travel for a 360° turn is identical in both games. Your muscle memory transfers completely — you just need to learn the game mechanics, not rebuild your aim from scratch.

Tips for Switching From Valorant to CS2
1. CS2 requires counter-strafing — your aim timing will change
In Valorant, stopping is instant and you can shoot accurately immediately. In CS2, you must counter-strafe (tap the opposite direction key) to stop your momentum before shooting accurately. This affects how you use your mouse during gunfights, but your base sensitivity will still be correct.
2. Set your CS2 game resolution before tuning sensitivity
Many CS2 players use 4:3 stretched or 4:3 black bars resolution, which changes the effective field of view. If you switch from Valorant’s 16:9 to CS2 at 4:3, your peripheral vision narrows. The sensitivity conversion remains accurate, but the narrower FOV will make the game feel slightly different.
3. Check Windows mouse acceleration is off
Disable “Enhance pointer precision” in Windows mouse settings. CS2 has a built-in raw input option (enabled by default in CS2) which overrides this, but disabling it system-wide is the safest approach.
4. Your converted CS2 sensitivity will look high — that is normal
Valorant sensitivities look small (0.2–0.5) while CS2 sensitivities look large (0.6–2.0). A Valorant sensitivity of 0.3 converts to ~0.95 in CS2, which is well within the normal competitive range. Do not lower it because the number looks “high”.
