Overwatch 2 to Valorant Sensitivity Converter — How It Works
Overwatch 2 and Valorant are both hero shooters with fast-paced gunfights, but their sensitivity systems were built completely independently. Overwatch uses a high-number scale (typically 4–12) while Valorant uses a low-number scale (typically 0.2–0.6). Typing your OW2 number into Valorant directly produces an aim speed roughly 10× too fast.
Overwatch 2 yaw = 0.0066 · Valorant yaw = 0.07
Valorant’s scale is approximately 10.6× higher than OW2. An Overwatch 2 sensitivity of 7.0 converts to approximately 0.4620 in Valorant.
Our converter uses the exact verified yaw multipliers for both games to ensure your physical cm/360 rotation distance is mathematically identical in Valorant as it was in Overwatch 2.
Valorant Sens = OW2 Sens × (0.0066 ÷ 0.07)
Valorant Sens = OW2 Sens × 0.09428
// Example: 7.0 × 0.09428 = 0.6600
// With DPI change: multiply by (OW2 DPI / Valorant DPI)
Important:

OW2 sensitivity 6.0 at 800 DPI — a very common competitive Overwatch setting. The Valorant equivalent is 0.5657, which is on the higher end of competitive Valorant range.
Why OW2 and Valorant Sensitivity Scales Are So Different
Overwatch was built on Blizzard’s proprietary engine using a 1–100 percentage sensitivity scale, which effectively produces a high-number slider system. Valorant was built on Unreal Engine with Riot’s own sensitivity implementation using a much steeper internal yaw curve — roughly 10× steeper than OW2. The result is two completely incompatible sensitivity scales despite both being competitive hero shooters.
OW2 vs Valorant — gameplay differences that affect aiming
| Factor | Overwatch 2 | Valorant |

| Game type | Team-based hero shooter | Tactical FPS / hero shooter |
| Ability-focused gameplay | Yes — movement abilities, tanks | Yes — agent abilities |
| Time to kill (TTK) | Varies heavily by hero | Very fast — 1–2 shots |
| Movement | Varied — jumps, dashes, fly | Slow, grounded, deliberate |

Tips for Switching From Overwatch 2 to Valorant
1. Valorant’s TTK is far faster than most OW2 heroes
Overwatch 2’s TTK varies widely depending on hero matchup — tanks can survive for several seconds. In Valorant, a single headshot or two-body-shot burst can eliminate a full-health player almost instantly. Your converted sensitivity gives you accuracy, but the pacing adjustment takes deliberate practice.
2. Valorant has no movement abilities that affect aim
Many Overwatch heroes have mobility abilities — Tracer blinks, Genji dashes, Pharah flies. Valorant’s agents have utility abilities but very limited movement options. Your aim style will shift from tracking highly mobile targets to precise, predictive shots at grounded targets.
3. Check your OW2 DPI setting carefully
Many OW2 players use higher DPI settings (1600+) because Overwatch’s high-scale sensitivity number still produces reasonable eDPI at high DPI. If you plan to lower your DPI when switching to Valorant, make sure to enter both DPI values in the converter for an accurate result.
4. OW2’s scoped sensitivity doesn’t transfer to Valorant ADS
Overwatch’s scoped sensitivity (used by heroes like Widowmaker and Hanzo) is separate from your main sensitivity and does not have a direct equivalent in Valorant. Valorant’s single ADS multiplier (default 1.0) controls all scoped-in aiming — start with the default and adjust manually.
5. Disable mouse acceleration and enable raw input
Disable Windows “Enhance pointer precision”. Overwatch 2 supports raw input by default. In Valorant, confirm Raw Input Buffer is ON under Settings → Controls before testing your converted sensitivity.
