Switching to Fortnite from another shooter shouldn’t mean relearning your aim from scratch. This free Fortnite sensitivity converter matches your current mouse sensitivity to Fortnite using the same 360° turn distance, so your muscle memory carries over. Pick your game, enter your sensitivity and DPI, and get your Fortnite sens percentage, eDPI and cm/360 instantly.
How to Use the Fortnite Sensitivity Converter
- Choose the game you’re converting from in the “Convert From” box.
- Choose Fortnite in the “Convert To” box.
- Enter your current in-game sensitivity and your mouse DPI (plus your Fortnite DPI if it differs).
- Click Convert and enter the result in Fortnite under Settings → Input → Mouse and Keyboard, as both X-Axis and Y-Axis Sensitivity.
The ⇄ button swaps the two games, so you can convert in the other direction. The result also shows your eDPI, cm/360° and in/360°.
How Fortnite Sensitivity Is Calculated
Fortnite Yaw Value
Fortnite measures mouse sensitivity as a percentage (the X and Y sensitivity sliders). This converter uses a yaw of 0.005555 degrees per mouse count for each 1% of sensitivity. Every game has its own yaw value, which is why the same number feels different from game to game.
The Conversion Formula
To convert from any game, the tool matches your 360° distance:
Fortnite Sens % = (Your Sens × Your Game’s Yaw) ÷ 0.005555
If your DPI changes between games, multiply by (old DPI ÷ new DPI). The converter does this for you.
What Is a Good Sensitivity in Fortnite?
Typical Sensitivity Ranges
Many Fortnite players use 400 to 1600 DPI with an X/Y sensitivity of roughly 4% to 10%. At 800 DPI, that works out to about 21 to 51 cm/360°.
Low vs High Sensitivity
A lower sensitivity (higher cm/360) gives more precise tracking, which helps in long-range fights and when you’re building and editing with fine control. A higher sensitivity gives faster turns and flicks, which helps in close-range fights and fast 180° turns. Fortnite rewards a balance, since you need quick camera movement and steady aim.
Quick Reference at 800 DPI
| Fortnite Sens | eDPI | Approx. cm/360° |
|---|---|---|
| 4% | 3200 | 51.4 cm |
| 5% | 4000 | 41.2 cm |
| 6.5% | 5200 | 31.7 cm |
| 8% | 6400 | 25.7 cm |
| 10% | 8000 | 20.6 cm |
What Is a Good Sensitivity in Fortnite?
Test It in Creative or Team Rumble
Load Creative mode or a casual match and practice tracking, flicking and 180° turns for 10 to 15 minutes. Your converted sensitivity should feel familiar straight away, and small tweaks are normal.
Set X and Y Sensitivity Together
The converter gives you one value, so enter it as both X-Axis and Y-Axis Sensitivity. Fortnite also has separate targeting (ADS) and scope sensitivity settings. Adjust those after your base sensitivity feels right.
Keep the Same DPI When Possible
Changing DPI and sensitivity at the same time makes it hard to tell what feels off. Convert once, play for a few sessions, and only then fine-tune.
