Overwatch 2 to CS2 Sensitivity Converter — How It Works
Overwatch 2 and CS2 are both competitive team-based shooters, but their internal sensitivity scales are completely different. OW2 uses a high-number percentage scale (typically 4–10) while CS2 uses a low decimal scale (typically 0.8–2.5). Entering your OW2 number directly into CS2 would make your aim move over 3× faster than you’re used to.

Why OW2 and CS2 Sensitivity Scales Are Different
CS2 inherits the sensitivity system used by CS:GO and original CS, which uses a very small yaw value of 0.022 to produce precise, low-speed camera rotation ideal for long-range aiming in tight corridors. Overwatch was designed by Blizzard with a wider range of play styles — fast mobile heroes, vertical movement, large maps — and uses a higher sensitivity scale with a yaw of 0.0066 to give players more room to find comfortable settings across all hero types. Despite looking totally different on paper, the two systems can be precisely matched using yaw math.

Tips for Switching From Overwatch 2 to CS2
1. CS2 requires counter-strafing — OW2 does not
In Overwatch 2, you can shoot accurately while moving because hero accuracy is not affected by movement the same way. In CS2, shooting while moving has a heavy accuracy penalty. You must counter-strafe — tap the opposite directional key to stop momentum — before firing. This changes how you use your mouse in fights even though your converted sensitivity is correct.
2. Learn CS2’s recoil patterns — OW2 doesn’t have spray control
Overwatch 2’s weapons have mild spread but no learnable recoil patterns. CS2’s rifles (AK-47, M4) have distinct spray patterns you can control with mouse movement to keep shots accurate. Your converted sensitivity gives you the right base speed for counter-strafing and one-taps — spray control is an additional CS2-specific skill to develop.
3. Your converted CS2 sensitivity will look lower than your OW2 number
An OW2 sensitivity of 6.0 converts to only 1.8 in CS2 — this is correct. CS2’s yaw is 3.33× higher than OW2’s, so it needs a lower number for the same physical speed. Do not increase your CS2 sensitivity because the number looks smaller — the physical aim speed is identical.
4. CS2 has no hero abilities — all muscle memory is aim-based
Overwatch 2 rounds are partially decided by ability timings, ultimates, and hero counters. CS2 rounds are almost purely decided by aim, movement, economy, and utility usage. Your converted sensitivity gives you a solid aim foundation, but the mental adjustment from ability-based play to pure aim-based play takes time.
5. Disable mouse acceleration and enable raw input in CS2
CS2 has raw input enabled by default, which bypasses Windows pointer settings. Also confirm “Enhance pointer precision” is disabled in Windows. Both steps ensure your converted sensitivity behaves exactly as the formula predicts.
