Fortnite to Apex Legends Sensitivity Converter — How It Works
Fortnite and Apex Legends both use small decimal sensitivity values, but their internal yaw multipliers are very different. Fortnite uses a much higher yaw (0.5555) than Apex (0.022), which means Fortnite achieves the same physical camera speed with much smaller numbers. Typing your Fortnite sensitivity directly into Apex would make your aim feel dramatically slower than normal.

Why Fortnite and Apex Have Such Different Sensitivity Scales
Fortnite is built on Unreal Engine 5, which uses a high yaw multiplier that makes even small decimal sensitivity values produce fast camera movement. Apex Legends runs on a modified Source engine that uses a much lower yaw — the same as CS2. As a result, Fortnite’s scale is over 25× higher than Apex’s, making this one of the most confusing game pairs for sensitivity transfer.
A Fortnite player who enters their usual sensitivity (e.g. 0.05) directly into Apex would be playing at over 25× slower than they’re used to — every flick would fall dramatically short, making the game feel completely unresponsive. Converting correctly means your first Apex session uses the exact same physical aiming speed you’ve built in Fortnite.

Tips for Switching From Fortnite to Apex Legends
1. Use X-axis look sensitivity — not edit or build sensitivity.
Fortnite has separate sensitivity sliders for looking, targeting (ADS), building, and editing. Only your Look Sensitivity X-Axis is relevant for this conversion. The edit and build sensitivities are Fortnite-exclusive mechanics with no equivalent in Apex.
2. No building means tracking matters more
In Fortnite, fast build reactions can save you from taking damage — aim is important but structures absorb shots. In Apex, there’s no building to protect you, so every gunfight comes down entirely to your aim accuracy and positioning. Your converted sensitivity preserves your tracking precision, which becomes even more valuable in Apex.
3. Apex ADS sensitivity is separate — set it after hipfire
Both Fortnite and Apex have separate ADS sensitivities. This converter covers hipfire only. After applying your converted Apex hipfire sensitivity, test the default ADS setting and adjust if needed. Most players start with ADS at 1.0 (same as hipfire) and go from there.
4. Apex’s higher FOV may make aim feel slightly different
Apex supports up to 110° FOV, which is higher than Fortnite’s typical 90–100°. A higher FOV makes objects appear smaller and slightly farther, which can affect how precise your micro-corrections feel — even with an accurate sensitivity conversion. Try matching FOV as closely as possible when first testing your converted sensitivity.
5. Expect your converted Apex number to be much higher than your Fortnite number
This surprises many players — a Fortnite sensitivity of 0.05 converts to approximately 1.26 in Apex. The number is bigger but the physical aiming speed is identical. Don’t lower your Apex sensitivity just because the number looks high compared to Fortnite.
